The Self-Help Center/Family Law Facilitator's Office provides legal information and resources to self-represented court customers. Assistance may be in the form of private appointments, referrals, LiveChat and/or telephonic assistance.
Most in person services are currently suspended due to COVID-19.
Communications are not confidential
Communications between you and the Staff of the Self-Help Center and Family Law Facilitator's Office are not confidential. You should consult with your own attorney if you want personalized advice or strategy, to have a confidential conversation, or to be represented by an attorney in court. The Staff of the Center are not responsible for the outcome of your case.
We help both sides
The Staff at the Self-Help Center and Family Law Facilitator's Office is available to help all parties to the case, which means that we may also help the other party in your case. The Staff of the Center can help you in preparing your own forms and can give you general legal information.
Shuttle to the Hayward Hall of Justice
Alameda County Superior Court and Alameda County GSA partner together to improve access to justice by piloting free County shuttle service to the Hayward Hall of Justice starting January 8th, 2018 during specific times M-F. For more information click here.
