What: Closing Arguments in Oakland Bulk and Oversized Terminal vs. City of Oakland

Where: Hayward Hall of Justice, Dept. 514 and Rene C. Davidson Courthouse Dept. 1

When: Wednesday, October 11, 2023; 9 a.m. to Noon
 

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 9 a.m., attorneys representing the City of Oakland and the Oakland Bulk and Oversized Terminal, will make closing arguments in a breach of contract lawsuit (RG18930939).

Due to limited seating in Department 514 at the Hayward Hall of Justice, members of the public who want to observe the closing arguments are advised to attend in Department 1 at Rene C. Davidson Courthouse at 1225 Fallon Street, Oakland, Calif., to view the arguments through a closed-loop video feed.

Closing arguments will not be streamed online.

A very limited number of seats will be reserved for the media at the Hayward Hall of Justice.

Media wishing to attend the trial must email the Court’s Public Information Officer Paul T. Rosynsky by 3 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023.

Media wishing to reserve seats must have credentials. Seats will be reserved based on when requests are made.  No audio or video recordings, and no photography, of the closing arguments are permitted. Laptops and tablets will be permitted for note taking. Cell phones must be turned off.

Please be advised this is not a jury trial. There will not be a reading of a verdict by a jury. However, once a ruling is made by Alameda Superior Court Judge Noël Wise, the Court will publish the ruling on its website at alameda.courts.ca.gov.
