Oakland, Calif. – November 17, 2025 – The Superior Court of Alameda County will host an Attorney’s Oath Ceremony for soon-to-be attorneys who recently passed the State Bar Exam.
The ceremony will take place on December 5, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Dept. 1 of the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland. (1225 Fallon Street).
Presiding Judge Thomas Nixon will be administering the oath and welcoming new attorneys into the legal profession.
This is the first time the Court will be hosting such an event and it’s being offered to provide new attorneys a means to complete their oath requirement pursuant to California Business and Professions Code section 6067.
“We’d like to welcome our new attorneys into the profession and help them meet their first requirement as attorneys in California,” said Presiding Judge Thomas Nixon. “Congratulations to all who have passed the State Bar.”
