Audio Recordings of Proceedings

Audio Recordings of Court proceedings may be available for certain hearings such as family law, probate, misdemeanors, or traffic infractions. In rare instances, recordings of other hearing types may be available.

To determine if an audio recording is available, view the minute order for the hearing requested. If the minute order states, “Recorded by LRS”, the hearing was recorded with the Court’s Liberty Recording System (LRS). If there is no mention of “LRS” and/or if there was a Court Reporter present at the hearing, no recording was made.

Request A Copy of an Audio Recording

To request a copy of an audio recording, complete the Request for Audio Recording of Court Proceedings form and deliver the form by mail or in-person to the Court’s Clerk’s Office. Visit the Court Locations & Contact Information webpage for Clerk’s Office addresses and information.

The fee for each recording is $25 per request, per hearing date and must be paid in advance.

Recordings are provided on removable media only. For example, on CDs or USB flash drives.

The Court does not offer transcripts of recordings at this time. If a transcript of a recording is needed, contact a private transcription agency.

Pickup an Audio Recording

Requestors will be notified by email or phone when the audio recording is ready for pickup.

Listen to an Audio Recording

To listen to the recording, users must have the Liberty Recording Player application installed.
